Environmental Consulting

All development projects navigate a specific regulatory pathway and permitting process, with associated requirements being dependent upon environmental setting, project scope and purpose. Our team are experienced to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies and provide independent expert assessment and advisory services to our Client’s on matters pertaining to the management of environmental issues associated with the Project. This includes the coordination and preparation of environmental impact report covering a full range of technical services, from desktop studies and site investigations to complex modelling, in order to meet legislative requirements in securing approval from the Competent Authority.

Environmental Engineering is a multi-disciplinary specialized engineering field that integrates physical and biological sciences including physics, chemistry, biology, soil science, geology, geography and architecture. It then applies these to the study of the environment and the solving of environmental problems. Environmental Engineering provides an integrated, quantitative and inter-disciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems.

Then Environmental divisions of GlobalTech consists of a team of experienced environmental scientists, environmental engineers, waste consultants, GIS analysts and modelling experts. GlobalTech have successfully completed a variety of environmental projects to date, with excellent feedback from clients and authorities.

Environmental Consultancy Services Provided by GlobalTech

GlobalTech Safety and Environmetal Consultancy has considerable experience in the field of air quality monitoring, Environmental Site Assessment and Environmental Impact Statement. Our Team are qualified to undertake COSHH compliance monitoring and assessment, and are able to provide the following services:

Air Quality Management

Poor air quality has negative effects on health, the environment and the economy. In recent years, air quality has become a key consideration in planning new developments and regulatory authorities require robust evidence to demonstrate that those developments do not worsen local air quality.

Air dispersion modeling: Performed to estimate or predict the concentration of air pollutants or toxins emitted from sources such as industrial plants, vehicular traffic or accidental chemical releases.

Air quality monitoring: Conducted in order to ascertain the concentration levels of various pollutants and to compare these levels against the environmental standards laid down by the regulatory authority.

Our Specialist Air Quality Services Include:
  • Ambient Air Quality Monitoring
  • Indoor Air Quality
  • Emission Testing
  • Odour Assessments
  • Construction Dust Assessment
  • Air Quality Modeling
  • Air Quality Management Studies
  • Environmental Compliance and Permitting
  • Design, Supervision and Commissioning of Air Pollution Control Systems
  • Emission Inventory and Hazardous Air Pollutants Survey
  • Air Pollution Health Effects and Epidemiological Studies

Noise Management

The specific objectives of noise management are to develop criteria for the maximum safe noise exposure levels, and to promote noise assessment and control as part of environmental health programmes. Noise impacts can lead to complaints and even amount to a statutory nuisance. Where noise is likely to be an issue at new development, we are able to assess noise exposure levels that will be experience by users and provide advice on mitigation as required.

Noise Modeling: Undertaken to estimate the noise exposure levels in an area, especially one with a number of noise/vibration sources. The objective is to implement corrective measures which achieve compliance with the existing noise regulatory standards.

Noise Monitoring: Designed to observe noise levels at a location caused by vibrating  sources and ascertain whether these noise levels are compliant with the noise level standards set by the environmental regulatory authority.

Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)

Due Diligence is an assessment which identifies potential or existing environmental contamination liabilities of an industrial or real estate project. GlobalTech specializes in both Phase 1 & 2 ESA and has the experience and resources to assess potential soil contamination, groundwater quality, surface water quality and issues related to hazardous substances. To this end, GlobalTech undertakes a number of Hazardous Waste studies including:
Hazardous Waste
  • Identification & Characterization
  • Feasibility Study of Hazardous Waste Facilities
  • Environmental Risk Assessment
  • Soil Contamination & Modeling
  • Emergency Management Plans
  • Medical Waste Disposal Management Plans
GlobalTech  undertakes the full range of  Waste Management Studies & Analysis. These include Material Balance Studies for Process Industries, Waste Audits and Minimization Plans, Waste Sampling and Analysis, preparation of Integrated Solid Waste Management reports, Cost Benefit Analysis of  Waste Disposal Schemes and preparing Waste Profile documents.
Our services also  include defining any chemical residues within structures; identification of possible asbestos in building materials; inventory of hazardous substances stored or used on site; assessment of mold and mildew and evaluation of other indoor air quality parameters. We also undertake actual sampling of soil, air, groundwater and/or building materials as per local and international standards – in addition to more detailed investigations involving chemical analysis for hazardous substances and/or petroleum hydrocarbons.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

Is a comprehensive study that is used as a tool to identify, assess and plan the pros and cons of direct, indirect, cumulative, potential mitigation and monitoring of environmental impacts associated with a proposed project or facility.

GlobalTech’s experience in carrying out environmental impact assessments is extensive. We collaborate closely with our clients from day one to develop robust and long-term solutions to the challenges they face while adding value. GlobalTech has over 18+ years’ experience of environmental impact assessments (EIA) for a wide range of projects. These include some of the largest development, infrastructure and engineering projects in Middle East.

We’re engaged during the earliest stages of a project’s conceptualisation not only to facilitate compliance of the Project to EIA process, but also because our EIA studies are vital tools for identifying potential mitigation during the initial planning and design process.

GlobalTech specializes in assessing and providing practical and feasible solutions to mitigate any adverse impacts wherever necessary. These assessments include Specialty Environmental Studies incorporating:

  • Air Quality
  • Noise and Vibration
  • Ground Contamination
  • Waste Management
  • GIS Analysis
  • Biological Studies
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Water Quality Studies
  • Master Plan Development
  • Planning & Zoning Studies
  • Sustainable Planning and Development
  • Urban Planning & Development
  • Emergency Response Preparedness Plans

Our extensive technical knowledge, planning expertise and legislative acumen also enables us to provide integrated planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services to both the private and public sectors.
